Meet The Surgeons
Jonathan Adkins, M.D.
Jonathan Adkins, M.D., is a fellowship-trained bariatric surgeon specializing in both general surgery and bariatric surgery. With more than 20 years of experience, he has expertise in a variety of surgical procedures, including bariatric surgery, gastric bypass, laparoscopic gastric sleeve, breast surgery, colorectal, gallbladder, gastric reflux, hernia and thyroid.
A native of Biloxi, Mississippi, Dr. Adkins received a medical degree from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine in Jackson, Mississippi. He completed a surgical residency at Mercer University in Macon, Georgia. Dr. Adkins completed a minimally invasive and laparoscopic surgery fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.
Dr. Adkins is currently the only fellowship-trained bariatric surgeon in central Mississippi. Dr. Adkins is a diplomate of American Board of Surgery, a member of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, a member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Adkins is the recipient of the 2014 Vitals Patient’s Choice Award which is based on patient reviews/ratings and presented to less than 5% of physicians nationwide.
David Carroll, M.D., FACS, FASMBS
David Carroll specializes in bariatric surgery and general surgery. He is an Alpha Omega Alpha graduate of Texas Tech University's School of Medicine and is board certified in surgery and obesity medicine.
Dr. Carroll has been practicing bariatric surgery for more than 30 years. His areas of expertise include laparoscopic gastric sleeve, Roux-en-Y gastric bypass, and single anastomosis duodenal switch. He also has extensive experience in revisional bariatric surgery.
Dr. Carroll is a fellow of both The American College of Surgeons and The American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery. He is also a Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Quality Improvement Program site surveyor and travels the country to assure safe and high quality care for bariatric surgery patients nationwide.
Danny Robles, M.D.
Danny Robles, M.D., is a fellowship-trained bariatric surgeon specializing in general and bariatric surgery. He is dedicated to helping patients achieve meaningful, lasting improvements in their health and quality of life through personalized surgical care. Dr. Robles has specialized expertise in minimally invasive and robotic procedures, including sleeve gastrectomy, gastric bypass and duodenal switch.
A native of Arizona, Dr. Robles received his medical degree from the University of Arizona College of Medicine in Tucson, Arizona, where he also completed his surgical residency. He went on to complete a bariatric and minimally invasive surgery fellowship at Banner Gateway Medical Center in Gilbert, Arizona.
Dr. Robles is a fellowship-trained bariatric surgeon with advanced training in laparoscopic and robotic surgical techniques. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Surgery and a member of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS) and the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES).
Dr. Robles believes in taking the time to understand each patient's individual goals and concerns and working with them to develop a treatment plan that fits their needs. His goal is to provide compassionate, comprehensive care while helping patients feel informed, comfortable and supported throughout their surgical journey.
